Alao Akala Debunk signing pact with APC to drop Ambition

Former Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala and Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate has described as false the speculations that he had agreed to dump his ambition for candidate of the All progressive congress Sen Abiola Ajimobi.

Alao-Akala, who spoke through Dr Kola Balogun, the Director-General, Alao-Akala/Alli Campaign Organisation, told newsmen in ibadan on Tuesday.

There have been widespread speculations that Alao-Akala had stepped down for the incumbent governor, Abiola Ajimobi due a pact.

He said that he had no pact with any candidate or the All Progressives' Congress (APC), urging the people to discountenance such speculations been peddled by a drowning party

"The speculation is not true at all but mischievous and deceitful. How will a party, which is growing everyday sign such with a faded party.

"It is never true and will never happen ," he said.

He said it was a ploy by the APC, which was fading out daily to confuse the electorate, who had since resolved to return Alao-Akala as the governor with their votes come Feb 28.

He said that the people of the state are tired of the anti people policies of the present government, adding that the LG would alleviate the people's sufferings.

The former governor said that he would never be part of any unholy alliance with any political party or candidate.

"Let me advise the APC to desist from spreading untrue information but work on how to woo the people with their anti people policies.

"The people are wiser and cannot be hoodwinked the APC's usual lies and antics," he said.

The former governor urged the people to cast their votes for all LP candidates, adding that a vote for LP was a vote for the return of good governance.
