He continued: "Among the unique challenges that our mothers face are difficulties enrolling children in school, getting medical treatment, maintaining their house, obtaining affordable education, and accessing a varieties of state government benefits and services".
Alao-Akala said this was why his administration focused more attention on women empowerment through provision of soft loan to market women.
"We also made education accessible by making it free and affordable to all citizens of Oyo State."
He assured that better days lie ahead as "the government of Labour Party in Oyo State will restore hope and support women further to meaningfully contribute to our society when he takes the mantle of leadership on May 29, 2015."
While congratulating the women, he said that "We appreciate our mothers knowingfully well that we cannot become anything or hope to become anything without the support of women".
