To allay the fears of citizens of the State in the event that the present administration may end up not completing some of its projects, the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala has promised to complete all projects.
The former governor who spoke through his director of public affairs against the backdrops of the "sorry states of infrastructure a result of the failure of the present government to complete the project embarked upon."
Under the pretence of dualization, he said, the roads are being destroyed, adding that the "road projects in town like Ogbomoso, Iseyin and Oyo have been left in bad shape in the last four years because Ajimobi government who awarded the contracts to his cronies could not chastise them to complete the project at stipulated time."
He alleged that incumbent government has abandoned most of the projects initiated by its predecessors simply because he felt he did not initiate them.
He assured that the LP government will not abandon any project upon resumption of office as "we believe government should be in continuum."
Meanwhile, traditional rulers in the 13 local government areas of Oyo North Senatorial District of the State have thrown their weight behind the aspiration of the LP candidate.
Cited as their reason was that the former governor did not neglect the zones when he was governor and that many indigenes of the zones were given key appointments. They added that if allowed to govern again, Akala would continue from where he stopped four years ago to bring the much needed development.
