APGA, UPN Adopt Alao Akala As Guber Candidate
The All progressive party Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced the adoption of Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate in Oyo state, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, as her gubernatorial candidate for Feb 28 elections.
The adoption is coming few days after the Oyo state chapter of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) also adopted his candidacy.
Speaking with newsmen at a meeting in Bodija, the party chairman Alhaji Moshood Agboola said " the decision to adopt Alao Akala has been communicated to the National leaders of the Party"
He said further "we decided to adopt Alao Akala as the guber candidate based on his antecedents and achievements while in office and we are convinced that his second coming will be more fruitful and beneficial to all and sundry in the state".
"We have structures and financial wherewithal to participate in the elections but we decided to adopt LP candidate because the party's programme is in line with ours.
