THE Labour Party, Oyo State chapter has served the current governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi a quit notice, four months to the handing over to a new government to be formed by the LP.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Team Akala’s Director of Public Affairs, of Labour Party Campaign Organisation Oludare Ogunlana.
Ogunlana hinted that the LP chapter in the state had intimated the APC out-going governor to be alive with the reality wind currently blowing across the political space of the state.
Ogunlana said " exactly four months from today, May 29, the current governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi will be handling to a new administration which will be formed by the governorship candidate of Labour Party, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.
"In order not to be caught unaware, I am using this opportunity to remind Ajimobi that he has only four months to finally quit Agodi Government House. Moreso, that he has partially moved to his Oluyole palatial home in Ibadan.
"Ajimobi had inflicted unquatifiable wounds on the small scale business class in the state. He cannot deny it because he stopped his much publicised action when he realised election is fast approaching. He cannot expect the same people who he 'killed their businesses' to vote for him now.
"Having heeded to an earlier advice by moving parts of his belonging out of the Presidential Lodge in the state House since last year, it is pertinent that he start counting days by himself from today," Ogunlana stated.
